Construct Decks and Patios with Pastimes in Mind

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Posted on April 12th, 2012

Smart and inventive homeowners take deck and patio design to new levels of style and usefulness by building around their favorite pastime. When homeowners make a list of their priorities and favorite things, they’ll find that their deck or patio “fits”. Some decks and patios fall short because the homeowner’s priorities aren’t considered. The top decks and patios are those that are designed around what the property holder loves to do in free time.

There seems to be common priorities that come up when designing a backyard and patio and decking. Homeowners want spaces for family gatherings and entertaining. Homeowners want a perfect place for their kid’s activities. Homeowners want to take advantage of their swimming pool and surrounding areas. Homeowners want a place to just relax and unwind. When the homeowner prioritizes and defines exactly what they want and hope for out of their decking and patios, only then can they be built to surpass expectations.

For homeowners whose favorite thing is entertaining, eating, and family gatherings, their decks and patios should be zoned. This means that to maximize decking and patio space, they need to divide it without being choppy. There should be zones for eating, cooking, and socializing; divided by plants, furniture, or arches. These decks can also be multi-leveled to further zone the patio or deck while still having an open and inviting deck.

For families who have a pool and whose favorite pastimes involve the pool, their decking and patios need to encompass function, beauty, and safety. There should be safe walkways, tanning areas, and places zoned for food and drinks. Place all the kid play areas aways from the pool, with patios that are smooth surfaced and lend themselves to play and games. Safety is always first around pool designs.

For folks who just want to unwind, a deck where hammocks and comfortable seating faces breathtaking sceneries is the best of the best. If a homeowner’s relaxation is number one on their list, they should design a deck that has a gorgeous and green; restful view. Design the deck and patios so they overlook slopes, trees, blossoms, foliage, and water features for the ultimate in relaxation.

How to Make Mobile Marketing Work for You

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Posted on March 8th, 2012

Although a relatively new means of reaching out to your audience, mobile marketing is already becoming quite popular for businesses, even more than its email counterpart. Where most emails (at least 95% of them) end up in the spam folder, text messages are actually read by your target audience. However, given that you have only 160 characters to reach out to your consumer, it’s important to know how to make the right sort of impact with your messages.

For SMSs reaching out to an existing customer base, it is best to begin by using a short greeting and the client’s name. If you don’t have space for a greeting, at least make sure you put in the name. When a client sees that you have bothered to remember who they are and address them directly, it will make a big difference to the response you get.

An SMS allows you only 160 characters to communicate with the audience. For this reason you must add some important details such as your brand name, or the name of a particular product, along with contact information. Although a registered SMS plan will display your brand name as the “Sender” it’s more effective if you reinforce these few details in the body of the SMS itself. Apart from this, there is the question of how to use your SMS campaign. The most traditional thing to do is to offer your consumers freebies in return for doing something you want them to do. For instance, if the purpose is to check out your new range of summer wear, you should send an SMS like “Show this SMS at the counter for an additional 15% off.” To ensure more response, add urgency to the offer – something on the lines of “Hurry, offer valid only for 48 hours”. This ensures prompt reaction from your customers.

Sometimes, 160 characters aren’t enough for the kind of message you have in mind. In this case, instead of sending out long messages, send a short one, directing them to your website for more information. Remember, the audience hates reading long, complicated messages. The simpler your mobile marketing campaign, the more effective it is bound to be.
